Dedicated on May 11, 2006, the Cybermobile of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System helps the library to extend its services to reach those residents that may not otherwise have an oppotunity to visit a library.
The Cybermobile is a Spanish-language mobile library branch, providing free library resources, services, computer classes, and programming throughout Hillsborough County. The Cybermobile visits Hillsborough County areas with the highest concentrations of Spanish speaking individuals to bridge language and library usage gaps and to develop lifelong library users.
The Cybermobile goes beyond the conventional scope of mobile library service by providing a Spanish and bilingual collection, laptops for public use, free Spanish language computer lessons and programming as well as a bilingual staff. By offering a wide range of services, the Cybermobile furnishes the Hispanic community with the tools they require for empowerment in the work force, as well as in their daily lives. The needs of Hillsborough County's growing Hispanic population are at the forefront of the Cybermobile's mission.
The Cybermobile traverses a 1,000 square mile area as it meets the library needs of a diverse population. With changing demographics, the schedule follows shifts as well.
Cybermobile rotating monthly schedule :: August 2010 :: September 2010 ::
Our Bookmobile is providing services as well :: July 2010 :: August 2010 ::
