One Book One Night: The Soul of a Woman

Friday, September 24th at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us as we read selections in English (The Soul of a Woman) and Spanish (Mujeres del alma mía) from the latest work of venerated author Isabel Allende. Part essay collection and part memoir, this book is full of Allende’s wit, wisdom, and insight. Register and attend this special event for a chance to win a free book. Recommended for all ages.

Cultural Cooking: Postres

Tuesday, October 5th at 6:30 p.m.

Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by learning how to make some of our favorite postres, or desserts. Wellness chef and holistic life coach Chef Mira will show how to make some traditional Latin American desserts that will be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! Recipes include: quesitos, pastelilos de guayaba, arroz con dulce.
