Chef Rene Valenzuela (founder of Taco Bus) will talk about his experiences bringing original and distinctive Mexican food to food trucks in Tampa Bay. He will also go into the history of Mexican Independence day. Presentation will be followed by live Q&A.

A panel of best-selling contributors to the anthology Reclaim the Stars: 17 Tales Across Realms & Space discuss all things speculative fiction and their own experiences in the Latin American diaspora. Author panel includes: Zoraida Córdova, Anna-Marie McLemore, Nina Moreno, and David Bowles.

Cultural Cooking: Tortilla Española

Tuesday, October 4th at 6:30 p.m.

Join us in learning how to make a classic egg omelet with potatoes and onions. Chef Mira will show how to make a savory dish the whole family will enjoy: Tortilla Española, a popular dish that originated in Spain and can be seen throughout Hispanic cuisine.
