During the 40th anniversary of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Storytelling Festival, learn the art of storytelling and become a storyteller yourself. The Magic of Storytelling: Youth Theatre WorkshopSaturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
In this workshop, students will use their bodies, voices, and imagination to portray different characters. Recommended for ages 4 - 8. Taught by Creative Arts Theatre Company.
Mama Griot’s Tall Tales with Dr. Naima Johnston BushTuesday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m.
Learn about the history of the American tall tale with Dr. Naima Johnston Bush – and then hear the actual stories about John Henry, Paul Bunyan, a modern day fable about the Swamp Angel, and so much more! Recommended for ages 5 – 12.
