Teen Advisory and Advocacy Board

We are excited to announce the 2026 HCPLC Teen Advisory & Advocacy Board from July 8 to November 7. This five-month program will offer high school students ages 14 to 18 the opportunity to earn up to 100 Bright Futures and educational service hours at the library. The program is structured as a hybrid experience, featuring both virtual sessions and in-person engagement,

As a volunteer, students will have an opportunity to provide feedback and influence library services directed towards teens, and advocate about the library in their community. Volunteers will gain valuable experience in communication, collaboration, civic engagement, and social skills while learning about how the public library services the community.
