Local residents will have an opportunity to meet, engage with and support local authors. The event will include workshops, author panels, author tables and children’s activities.

Local Author Meet & Greet

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Discover over 30 local authors! Browse their books and explore their tables. Family-friendly crafts and games will be available in the children’s area.

Workshops

Rhyme, Reason, and Making Sense of Poetry

10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Local poet Bronwyn Jardin will lead a practical approach to turning experience into writing, focusing on poetry. This workshop will also include tips on reading and appreciating different poetic styles.

Worldbuilding Basics: From Imagination to Paper

12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The art of worldbuilding is one of the most critical aspects of writing fiction for any genre. Local author BonSue Brandvik will provide writers a framework for creating fictional worlds and characters that readers will want to visit time and again.
