Did you know? The Library was rocking 50 years ago!

In the summer of 1969 the library sponsored a series of Friday night rock concerts for teens, featuring local bands and DJs. The concerts were held in the bookmobile tunnel at what is now the John F. Germany Public Library. The shows attracted around 1,500 people and were so successful that they moved to a bigger venue, the Armory, the following year.
