About

The John F. Germany Library houses a collection of state and local government documents. The Library has been a depository of Florida state documents since 1967.

State documents include The Florida Statutes back through 1951 and The Journals of the Florida House of Representatives back consecutively through 1897. Examples of other state and local documents are the various area community plans, The West Tampa Library Designation Report, and magazines such as Florida Wildlife and Explore: Research at the University of Florida.

Documents can be identified by keyword searching the library catalog and using the dropdown menu to select "type of material," "government documents." The state and local government collections include paper, CD-ROMs, microfiche and DVDs formats. These collections are located on the 4th Floor. Most government documents are reference material that may be used inside the library.
